Nelson Thrathen’s Building redesign with Retractable Roof and Sliding Glass Walls – New Zealand
Trathen’s next generation building opens on Trafalgar St with our Retractable roofs and Sliding glass walls. These are some photos of the opening day.
After almost 100 years of history, three fires and an earthquake, the Trathens building needed an urgent reform. To do this, first the building was demolished and later rebuilt. This renovation includes a unique and contemporary design, but retaining its original structure.
In this work, we incorporate two of our systems:
- AIRCLOS A32 Sliding Glass Walls to create large entrances and passage areas between the different rooms. This system does not have vertical profiles, therefore we can guarantee great views and great natural light.
- AIRCLOS T6000 Retractable Roof to increase natural light and fresh air. This motorized roof is operated directly with a remote control.
