Retractable roof with Thermal Break

The T7003 RPT series is the first retractable roof series on the market equipped with true Thermal Break and triple glazing for unprecedented thermal performance.

Retractable roof with True TB for a U value = 1.4 W/m²K.

To achieve this, a longitudinal Thermal Break is created to cover all the points of contact between the indoor and outdoor profile.

  • Addition of polyamide inside the profiles of panels: to avoid contact between the inner and outer sides of the panels, which are separated by a very low transmittance polyamide.
  • Polyurethane foam (PUR) filling in the profiles: the polyamide inside the profiles forms a gap that is filled with Polyurethane Foam to reduce transmittance.
  • Addition of polyamide between the panels: as it is a staggered system in which the panels are hidden one under the other, polyamide is added to the outer side of panels to avoid direct contact between them.
  • Addition of polyamide between the rails: as in the previous case, this is a staggered system, therefore, the break has been designed by inserting polyamide profiles between the different aluminium rails to avoid contact between them. In this way, the break extends to the entire system and not just to the roof panels.

Triple glazing with Ug value = 0.5 W/m²K.

The triple glazing with which this roof is manufactured is specially designed to reduce its Ug value. Thanks to its special composition, the glass of this series offers a Ug value = 0.5 W/m²K. In addition, the extra reinforcement with which the profiles of the T7003 RPT series mobile roofs have been designed allows for achieving larger dimensions with a smaller number of panels. Thanks to this unique design, it is possible to install glass panels up to 2.2 m wide.

Custom glass.

  • Triple insulating glass with 4+4 mm low-emissivity lamination inside, 18 argon chamber, 4 mm tempered intermediate glass, 18 mm argon chamber, and 6 mm tempered low-emissivity glass and outdoor sun protection. The maximum glass thickness is 58 mm.

Aluminium profile finishes.

The profiles of the T7003 RPT retractable roofs can be lacquered in the colours of the Classic RAL range, given an anodised finish or an imitation-wood effect. Choose the perfect finish for your retractable roof.

NOTE: In the case of anodised finish or imitation-wood effect, the steel structures and sheet metal trims will be lacquered in the chosen RAL.

Insulating glass

Insulating glass, also known as double glazing, multiple glazing, or Climalit (trademark), consists of two or more glass sheets separated by a space that prevents any contact between the glass.

The inner space between the glass sheets is usually filled with dry air or other inert gas, but it is also possible to form a vacuum, thus improving their performance. In any case, the spaces are hermetically sealed to prevent air flow and the entry of pollutants.

There are also insulating glasses with special 'very low emissivity' treatments, a transparent metal coating on the inner surface, which provides 50% more insulation than conventional double glazing.

Insulating glass can be combined with other solar control functions, low emissivity, etc.

Insulating glass properties.

If there is a positive aspect to double glazing compared to other glass models, it is the possibility of creating customised glass according to the performance required. Therefore, this type of glass can incorporate heat, acoustic and safety insulation features.

For example: a product with highly beneficial features can be achieved by combining an insulating glass with a low-emissivity and solar control glass all in the same panel, even adding a laminate or acoustic laminate.

In addition, thanks to its space this glass offers very low thermal transmittance and therefore great thermal insulation, which will provide air conditioning savings of over 50%.

Finally, it must be noted that the gas contained in the space will also greatly influence the properties of the glass.

For example: the main objective of the SF6 is to improve the acoustic insulation by reducing approximately 3 dB. Argon, on the other hand, has a low heat conductivity, lower than that of air, which provides greater thermal insulation (reduction of the U value by more than 0.3 W/m²). On occasions, a mixture of two of these gasses is used to achieve specific properties.

Chamber size and energy transmittance.

The thermal transmittance (U-value) in a glass sheet has an inverse relationship to its thickness. The higher the interlayer profile (and therefore the greater the distance between the glass sheets), the lower the radiation transmission (the U-value decreases).

Please note: in spaces greater than 15-18 mm, the air currents created inside them increase energy transmission, so the generic rule referred to here does not apply.

The composition of the glasses that we install in our roofs is 3+3 T (PV Cells) /14 / 3+3T.

  • High emissivity.
  • Low reflectivity.
  • Low iron content.

PV cells

These photovoltaic modules use high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon cells (the cells are made of a single crystal of very high-purity silicon) to transform the energy of solar radiation into direct current electrical power.
Each cell is electrically classified to optimize the behavior of the module.
Its performance is excellent across the full range of the light spectrum, with particularly high performances in low light or cloudy situations in direct sunlight (diffuse radiation).


The cell circuit is laminated using:

  • PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral).

Back side

The back contains a laminated-tempered glass that provides complete protection and sealing against environmental agents and electrical insulation.

Junction box

The IP67 junction box is made of high temperature resistant plastics and contains terminals, connection terminals and by-pass diodes.

These modules are supplied with symmetrical cables in length, with a diameter with a copper section of 4 mm and a very low contact resistance, designed to achieve minimum losses due to voltage drop strong>.

These cables are easily integrated and hidden in the profiles of the ceiling itself.
